The first thing you need to do is take the cover off the big nut and remove it while the turret is down.

Removing the dowel pins with a slide hammer... if you try an lift this part off without pulling up the dowel pins at least a 1/4" you will break one... wanna know how I know?

Popping the piston out with 10psig of air and engaging the lift and spin solenoid.

Putting the bottom plate for the piston area. All o-rings lubed up with Molykote 55.

Putting the piston back in. All the quad rings can be purchased from McMaster Carr just measure the id or od of the ring.



She gits up and spins now lol.

Hi Rick,

The only trouble I ran into taking it that far apart was getting the ratchet timed. What I had to do was assemble all but the tool plate then fire the lock then the lift and rotate to bring it into alignment. Release the air from the lift and rotate then install the tool plate. This got me into mechanical alignment. Then I just spun the magnet around the encoder till the correct number showed up in my HAL watch window and locked it down.
